<report>The three most important parts of this genre - love-comedy - are the comedy, the romance, and how these two interact with each other. The only other game from this company I had played before this is Sankaku Renai and that is only partially, since it did not fully satisfy me in any of the 3 aspects. However, I truly enjoyed reading this game from start to finish.
The basic plot of the game is that the main character, a real penny-pincher, takes a part-time job of keeping women company - that is to go on pretend dates with them, to act as their affectionate older brother, or as a fake lover which a woman can introduce to her family to get them of her back. The first problem arises... Read more »

<report>Overall, I enjoyed this VN, but it definitely has some flaws. The common route was enjoyable and the main premise seemed interesting. I didn't pay enough attention to the music to give an opinion, but it's there. The problems I had with this VN revolved entirely around the characters. While there were many times that the interactions were humorous, the absurdity of a situation would go from zero to over 9000 in the blink of an eye. I don't think I've ever read a VN with more unnecessary yelling. The love triangle between Hasumi and Emi you encounter on either of their routes feels... unpolished and by far the worse offender of the absurdity issues.

<report>Asagames usually make eroges that put too much emphasis in humor, with romance being secondary. My experience playing their games is is usually not that good but this eroge was really written better.
They make a good comeback with this eroge with putting more effort into the romance and the characters. The characters aren't just made with jokes in mind. They actually were fleshed out and all of them are interesting. Sadly one of the side characters, Momoko, was more interesting than the rest of the cast for me but her route is a bad end, which is disappointing since the start of the route was unique.
Expect to laugh in this game as everyone is funny with the boke and tsukkomi kept being switched around and everyone heroine being good, especially for me, Emi and Sensei.

<report>It's a pretty solid slice of life vn overall that doesn't actually spend a lot of time in school despite the protagonist being a student. The common route is the most enjoyable part and the only route that I liked was Tsubaki's. My favourite character is Emi and her interactions with the mc are great, but her route is completely ruined by a cringeworthy love-triangle with Hasumi, who is an incredibly annoying and uninteresting character that takes up way too much screentime even during the common route

<report>I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. It's no masterpiece, but it's a fun VN to just turn your brain off with for a bit and let it flow.
My only complaints are that there's like one too many h-scenes per route (which I know is an odd complaint for an eroge), would much rather keep reading the interactions between the characters. The translation can also use some odd words that don't really fit (imo) what the characters are actually saying in Japanese, but it doesn't really change the meaning of the dialogue at all.
A little contentious I guess, but I liked Hasumi the best. Definitely pick it up if you're looking for something fun and relatively drama free.

<report>Unbelievable. I didn't think I'd find a relatable and fantastic romance novel after such a long while. It's not the story that intrigues me about this, and not about two girls going after one guy which amplified the attraction between the protag and the chosen heroine (Called by experts as pre-selection in dating). It's more about the fun conversations throughout the whole novel. I respect the protag for having the balls and courage to stand up for himself when he gets backed into a corner and he retaliates and doesn't get down when quarreling with the girls around him. He's a very interesting guy and because of his gloomy yet conversational approach, being ignorant but showing flirtatious... Read more »

<report>An early warning, I am by no means a great visual novel reviewer, nor should you 100% trust my word. I have been reading them for about 6 years. My reviews may contain spoilers, but I try and minimize them while getting my opinion across.
I decided to try out Ren'ai Karichaimashita because it had a lot of aspects that I enjoyed. Teacher heroines, twins, romance, comedy, and quite a bit more.

<report>Fairly harmless comedic VN. There are lots of cases in this where the comedy overtakes everything so much that the girls pretty much become cartoon characters, but you can still get good laughs despite the detriment to them as love interests. My biggest complaint is that the comedy becomes seriously repetitive whenever the protagonist is being disputed between two girls. For me it was a nice timewaster more than anything, but i'd recommend it if you're looking for comedy with a bit of romance rather than a romance with a bit of comedy. Borderline decent VN.
Ranking down girls (excluding side ones because they just have 20min endings): Tsubaki>Emi>Hasumi>Twins.

<report>Well From my point the view. The game is alright and the stories are not bad.
I got awkward with the the part of the sisters. for me the best routes are the teacher and Hasumi my fav girl. I loved everything about her. The laugh, reactions, her cute side and the Nyuhuhu. LOVE YOU HASUMI

<report>A pretty fun and light hearted VN. I really liked the concept even though it's a bit unrealistic, although if you consider host clubs are a thing in Japan it might not be that unrealistic. The characters are almost all fun and interesting, even Emi can be funny even though she's the most annoying. MC is a sigma male taking care of his little sister, none of that hetare bullshit that is all too common in moege here. Overall a fun read, nothing too deep.

<report>A good comedy vn, it made me laugh a lot. It is not an ambitious story nor does it have the deepest themes, but the concept of the story and personality of the characters, including the MC, make it worth it.
The romance aspect is fine depending on the route, the decisions are intuitive, it's easy to end up with the one you want, most of them are for funny dialogues and don't impact the route. the music is ok nothing memorable, the cg have good drawings, the H-scenes contain entertaining dialogues, especially in the twins' route, skipping the H-dialogues sometimes is a waste here. My ranking from best to worst:
Girls:
Hasumi > Chinatsu/Konatsu > Emi > Momoko > Saki > Tsubaki.

<report>It's a localized ASa Project VN, but I'd argue it's probably the best one. However, in my opinion that still means it isn't great. It's funny at some points, but like the other Renai VN's the heroines are mostly one note and it gets tiring after a while.
I liked Tsubaki, and for probably half of their stories I liked Hasumi and Emi, but the rivalry / boyfriend stealing stuff got old really quickly . The twins were just exhausting nearly from the beginning.
Of course, if you liked other ASa Project VN's, I'm sure you'll still like this, but personally I think they're the worst of the three companies under the same banner (ASa Project, SMEE and Hooksoft). I shouldn't have bought three Renai games at once before reading any, my mistake.

<report>It has some decent comedy, but it does get repetitive at points, and the yelling can get annoying. Most of the heroines of this game did not click with me that much. The premise, while interesting, is pretty counterproductive to the likability of the heroines. Most of the heroines display more than a few negative traits due to the premise so early made it difficult for me to like them.
Due to this, the romance felt unconvincing for most of the heroines.
Love triangles can be funny, but it's overdone here. They go far into heroine routes. With characters not knowing to take a hint or when to back off, and the protagonist not being assertive enough later on, which is insulting to the chosen... Read more »

<report>after finishing one route, I feel sick of reading the same formula over and over again.
common route is divided to 12 parts. all of which are very much the same. no real variety over the other. formulaic.
plot and characters: outside of the premise of rental bf, sugar baby, and onii-chan, which later turns into a romance route, the characters are flat. one-note. nothing about them really stand out.
interface: it could use more improvements. but its polished enough.
music: it's like you're listening to a 10-30 second track and played on loop. really bad and annoying if for some reason you decided to alt-tab and let the music play on background.
the only redeeming quality about the VN... Read more »

<report>The rent-a-boyfriend common route was pretty funny, way better than that Rent-A-Girlfriend anime/manga that people keep hatewatching for some reason.
Teacher route was fine, but nothing special. Twins route was hilarious, some of Asa Project’s best humor to date.
The Emi/Hasumi love triangle melodrama was really lame and made me drop the VN once that part started.

<report>All in all Koikari love for hire falls short of being good, while the comedy hits good and has its moments. the characters barely develops throughout the routes.
I did enjoy the Tsubaki route and managed to finish it but all the others are rehash of the common route gags and doesnt add much. I did enjoy the two sub routes of Momoko and Saki and how it could've become so much more if it ditched the two most annoying routes and made the sub routes into real routes to make the main character grow beyond the scrooge mindset.
Can't really recommend especially for the premium price tag, the art is good tho
6/10 on its own but ending at 4/10 for showing some great stuff and not delivering

<report>I had a great time with Renai Karichaimashita: Koikari – Love For Hire. I found the comedy hilarious and it never felt like it went overboard. The premise was interesting and it was used well to set up fun situations. The eccentric cast of heroines was particularly great.

<report>Ren'ai, Karichaimashita or in short Koikari is a Comedy Slice of Life VN released by ASa Project & NekoNyan on 2021-10-22.
The main concept of this one is similar to rent a girlfriend but just reversed. Instead it is the protagonist who the girls here can rent.
The very concept in itself already creates problems for later on when the protagonist actually gets confessed to.
At first the protagonist goes undetected while being rented by some of the girls at his school (Classmates and the Teacher).
Emi especially is a big showoff and uses the Protagonist to show her friends that she has a boyfriend.
For a while this goes well and the friends are somehow fooled by the show that they put on... Read more »
